When you are looking for a fast solution to a storage problem, follow pole barn plans right to the last letter.
You will end up with a solid structure with a smaller price tag and much quicker installation than traditional buildings on a foundation.

Pole Barn Home Floor Plans

Pole barns are ideal for many different applications.  Shops and services are easily run from an insulated pole building and landlords can make decent money renting space that was reasonable to build and fulfills their tenant’s needs.  If you own your land and need further storage or living space, pole barn plans are the simplest solution. You can get free pole barn plans online but be careful that they are accurate and comprehensive enough for your project; you may be better off paying the small price for your barn plans to ensure that you get what you want and ensure a successful conclusion to your barn building project.

For a shop or storage building pole barn floor plans are straightforward.  You will need tall, wide doors on the front and the back or a man door on one side.  Make sure that your entrances both on foot and with equipment or vehicles are convenient and allow for good traffic flow inside.  Include any interior walls necessary and decide whether plumbing will be needed.  If it is, design for a washroom or washing area, floor drains and a utility space for a hot water heater and possibly a water softener.

Many times pole barn plans of this type come in standard sizes which can be altered as the customer likes.

For residential use pole barn home floor plans can be more complicated.  You will need the proper sized windows for the space, insulation on the walls and ceiling and unless you want an extremely open concept, a few scattered interior walls.  All of these things will affect the design and will certainly need adapting on the plans.  Since there is no need for a foundation or a basement, you will need to design for much more storage space – perhaps a barn shed or garage.  The noise of typical pole barn steel roofing can be bothersome to some homeowners, but extensive and quality insulation will reduce the level of noise.
Remember to use or have the contractor use the stated building materials.  That includes the dimensional lumber as stated, not in smaller sizes to save additional money.  When the pole barn needs constant maintenance or is not structurally sound, you will regret that decision.  Always choose pole barn plans that include an intensive material list and follow that list exactly.  Refuse the temptation to skimp and you will end up with a quality, solid structure that will stand the test of time.

Whether for commercial, industrial, agricultural or residential use, pole barns are a quick and economical choice.  Make sure the floor plan suits your needs and that the pole barn plans will be followed.  You will be more than happy with the finished result.
